Hana Yoree is a Korean restaurant nestled inside the Hana World market on West Parmer Lane. It operates more like a food stall within a bustling market setting rather than a traditional sit-down restaurant, creating an easygoing and somewhat utilitarian atmosphere. The seating area is modest but functional, making it a convenient spot for a quick lunch or a casual dinner, especially for those familiar with Korean flavors or eager to explore authentic dishes without the formality of a full-service establishment.

The menu leans into well-known Korean comfort foods that emphasize hearty, home-style cooking. Notable offerings include classics like Beef Bulgogi, the subtle and tender Sam Gae Tang (whole chicken stew), and a variety of soups such as Yuk Ke Jang (spicy beef soup) and Rice Cake Dumpling Soup. Many plates come with traditional side dishes, including radish kimchi, which adds a refreshing contrast to the main flavors. Portions tend to be generous, aligning well with the reasonable price point, making it a solid choice for both solo diners and groups looking to share a spread.

Because it’s located inside a market, expect a lively, somewhat informal vibe shaped by shoppers and market visitors popping in for a meal. Service is friendly and straightforward, without the bells and whistles of a full-service restaurant, but efficient enough to accommodate a quick turn-around during lunch hours. This also means it’s well-suited for anyone on a tighter schedule who still wants authentic Korean food prepared freshly and at a good value.

Parking is typically easy to find in the shopping center's lot, and the location caters well to families, office workers, and local Korean food enthusiasts in north Austin. For those less familiar with Korean cuisine, the numbered menu system helps navigate unfamiliar names without hassle. Overall, Hana Yoree offers a grounded slice of Korean home cooking embedded in a local shopping experience, making it a practical choice when craving straightforward, comforting dishes without fuss.

I think this is the only place in Austin that serves Sam Gae Tang (whole chicken stew). It tastes amazing. The lack of heavy spices and salt doesn't mean it's bland like other reviews said. It's supposed to reveal the flavors of high quality chicken and rice. Other dishes we tried were all good. For the price, it's an amazing deal! The lady at the counter is friendly.

Tucked inside Hanna Market. I ordered the beef BBQ and the side items are authentic and excellent! The bulgogi was tender and flavorful. I would rate this so far the best bulgogi so far! Atmosphere is ok. The seating area was adequate and service was decent. For the food, I would definitely come back again!

Highly underrated Korean comfort food place! We have ordered many things here, but my favorite is the Hoe Drop Bab (sashimi with rice and vegetables), japchae and the Yuk Ke Jang. The food is also prepared very quickly making it a great lunch choice for people with limited time.

Very easy to order (they have #’s if you cannot pronounce the Korean name) they take cash and card (card you will need to pay inside the grocery store). I was very happy to see that their entrees come with side dishes! I love radish kimchi so it was a good surprise. The prices are also reasonable for their entrees. Their portions are HUGE, I ordered a #6 and the soup container is full of actual tofu, seafood, etc. not just broth. Very happy, will come back!

Located in Hana World is what may be the best Korean food we’ve had in Austin so far. Unfortunately, since Hana World is closing we decided to stop by and check it out one last time. Parking is easy to find and this stall is in the food court just past Ramen Del Barrio. Somehow we hadn’t eaten at Hana Yoree before, but we wish we had. It is very much a food stall but has such a homey feeling to it. Ordering is very easy and they have a pretty diverse menu for such a small food court. Just a heads up, it’s cash only so be prepped for that when you stop by. We got a good amount of food including their spicy beef soup, homemade noodle soup, Korean scallion pancake, bulgogi, and fried dumplings. Every dish was good with the homemade noodle soup being a true standout. The homemade noodle soup has a sweet broth and chewy noodles wrapped up into one delicious comfort dish we wish we could have every cold night. The spicy beef soup popped with flavor. The beef tender and the spice not being so much that it took away from the rest of it. The scallion pancakes were unexpectedly seafood based which threw us off a bit but was still decent nonetheless. Their bulgogi was absolutely mouth watering. Juicy and packed with flavor, we could’ve eaten pounds of it. And lastly, the fried dumplings were good. Pretty tiny but still very yummy. The whole meal was great and it felt like such a loving and home cooked meal for us to have eaten in the middle of a food court. With Hana Worlds closing, Hana Yoree doesn’t know what’s next as they don’t have any set plans but we very much do hope they are able to make it because this is a spot deserving of its own storefront and we would love to come back and eat again.

Hana Yoree serves authentic Korean food, tucked away inside Hana World Asian Market. My go-to comfort food here is their instant ramen, served with delicious cabbage and radish kimchi plus a bowl of white rice. Their kimchi pancake is excellent as well. Just a heads-up, it’s cash only!!!
